Detailed overall view of the event

8:00 AM-9:00 AM Students will set-up their presentations in the Cape Florida Ballroom on the 3rd floor of the Student Union. The tables are 6’ x 30” with access to electricity. If you are working in a team, only one member needs to set-up the presentation. Once set-up is completed at 9:00 AM, we request that all students leave the room so that the award committee members can silently review each presentation. At 10:00 AM students presenting at the event should return to the Cape Florida Ballroom to present their project to the award panel committee members and others interested in attending. Your group, or you, will present from 10:00-11:30 AM or 11:30 AM-1:00 PM. Once we have all the entries in late October then you will be assigned a time slot for your presentation a week before the event. Please plan for at least one of your team members to be in attendance for your presentation in advance of submitting your application. The time limit for your presentation will be approximately five minutes with an additional few minutes to respond to questions from the award committee members (total of eight minutes). You are required to stay by your project presentation for the entire hour and a half time slot that you are assigned. We do encourage more than one team member attend to present the project, but we also understand that schedules do not always allow all team members to directly participate in the event. Once you have completed your project presentation time slot you will be able to view other entries in the showcase and vote on the Peer Choice Scholarship, which recognizes the students’ choice for best overall service-learning project presented. From 1:00-2:30 PM: The general-public will view your posters. At 2:30 PM the awards ceremony and celebration will commence. The event will end by 3:00 PM.

If you want to use the UCF wireless network for your presentation:

If you are using a laptop with outside links for your presentation, please check at least two weeks before the event to ensure that there are no complications with your service. Think of it as a test run.
